Athletics Programs
Our Savior Lutheran School believes that our bodies are important gifts from God. As such, we are to care for our bodies in order to keep them fit and healthy. The school curriculum provides a regular program of physical education for all students. Additionally, organized sports are offered throughout the school year.
Basketball
“B” Girls Basketball consists of girls in grades 3-6. We play a schedule of home and away games and we host one tournament at the end of the season. The season runs during September and October, with the tournament the first weekend in November.
“B” Boys Basketball consists of boys from grades 3-6. We play a schedule of home and away games and we host a tournament the second weekend in December. We usually participate in another local tournament. The season runs from the middle of November through the middle of January.
“A” Boys Basketball is for boys in the 7th and 8th Grade, as well as those in lower grades who have the desire and ability to participate at that level. The season runs from the middle of November through the first weekend in March. We host a tournament, plus we compete in up to two other tournaments.

Track
We participate in the Northwest Area Lutheran Schools Track Meet held at Reed City in early May. This is for grades 3-8. There are 6 events offered per “class”, and each student may participate in up to three events. (There is a relay for the older two classes, which does not count as an event.)
We host a field day consisting of five events. K-8 students may participate in all five events and are judged by grade, boys and girls separately. The area Lutheran schools usually compete in this meet as well.
Softball
The 7th and 8th grades play in a 1-day, 3-game softball fun day. Four schools participate, and each school plays every other school. This is the first Friday in May.
